The May issue of Classic Bike features some great rides on old bikes – from the present and the past.

There’s a new road test of that technical tour de force, the six-cylinder Honda CBX, along with a serious test of endurance as editor Hugo tackles the 2024 Land’s End trial on his Moto Morini Camel – a gruelling all-nighter taking in challenging off-road sections, as part of a 700-mile weekend.

From times past, there’s the tale of a Triumph chopper ridden to Greece and back in the 1970s, and the story of a team of underdogs from Down Under having a crack at the 1977 Bol d’Or – after Graeme Crosby had to ride their Kawasaki Z1000 there on the road.

Restoration projects include the historic recommissioning of John Surtees’ 1960 AJS 7R Special to prepare it for a return to the track, and the continuing saga of Rupert Paul’s 1971 BSA Thunderbolt 650 rebuild. If you love to use your old bike as well as tinker with it, Classic Bike is a must.

The May issue of Classic Bike is out now at all good newsagents, or why not subscribe so you never miss an issue.
